In 2025, the Co-op board members instituted a program to express our gratitude for those who shop most frequently at RMC. Every quarter, we generate a list of gross sale amounts by co-op member. We then contact the top ten shoppers for that quarter to thank them for being loyal and frequent shoppers at our unique neighborhood store. To show our appreciation we award them store credit amounting to 0.5% of what they spent the previous three months. To date we’ve granted, on average, $100 in credit total each quarter. Many of these shoppers email back to note how convenient it is to shop at the co-op.
Our program can only include rewarding the top ten shoppers, but we’re aware that many more depend on the convenience of the co-op. One new co-op member, who recently moved to the neighborhood, remarked, “I know it’s a little store but I can get everything I need to make dinner the same night.”
We board members are so very grateful for those who make the co-op an essential stop in their shopping, and we are happy to recognize their loyalty in this small way. We send a heartfelt thank you to those who continue to “Shop the Co-op”!
